## Tell us about yourself, and what brings you to competitions like this.

We are a group of recent architecture graduates from different universities across Indonesia. We participate in architectural competitions both as a team and individually, often collaborating with different people and teams. We see competitions as an opportunity to experiment, learn, and explore new ways of working together.

02

## What did you design, and what were you trying to communicate?

With most visitors coming as tourists, we were interested in how architecture could help them experience the climate of the Lofoten rather than simply being told about it. Some changes are difficult to notice or explain. They need to be felt, observed, and experienced over time. We wanted the architecture to become a medium for experiencing these phenomena themselves.

We wanted to explore how architecture can reveal changes that are usually difficult to notice. By distributing the buildings from the hilltop to the water's edge, each extension creates a different frame of view and relationship with the landscape, light, and climate.

The design responds to gradual phenomena: materials weathering, plants reacting to their environment, and changing conditions over time. In the main building by the water, for example, the axis is shaped by the sloping terrain and aligned to capture different patterns of sunlight throughout the year. The ramp becomes part of this transformation, gradually shifting movement and access towards the water while allowing these changes to unfold as part of the experience.

03

## How did you approach the timeframe, and where did Gendo fit into the process?

We really enjoyed Gendo's familiar and intuitive UI/UX, which made it easy for us to get started. Throughout the competition, we experimented with different styles of diagrams and renders to find what best suited our design. Being able to work together on renders and diagrams also helped us save a lot of time and made the design process more collaborative, dynamic, and tangible.

04

## How has your relationship with Gendo developed?

Our first experience with Gendo was really exciting. We learned a lot through doing and experimenting within a short timeframe. We were also surprised by how the different tools and features could support our workflow and make it easier to collaborate during the design process. Rather than simply being another tool, Gendo became something we could learn alongside the design itself.

05

## What does the recognition mean to you, and what would you do differently next time?

We really appreciated being shortlisted and the opportunity to take part in a competition with a different format. We enjoyed embracing the process and collaborating within a shared canvas, which gave us a unique experience of working together while exploring AI-assisted design.

If we were to do it again, we would start collaborating on Gendo from the very beginning and document our process from the early stages. We would embrace the process more fully, using Gendo not only for the final output but throughout our design development.
